Some of our older pets may begin to suffer from the embarrassment of incontinence. This distressing condition may be helped by this tonic.
The herbs included are:
*Crateva: increases bladder tone giving them the ability to regain their dignity. It also reduces bladder stone formation.
*Couch grass: a general urinary system tonic. Its demulcent properties help to sooth any irritation or inflammation.
*Horsetail: its astringency toning effect make it very effective in incontinence.
*Yarrow: a urinary antiseptic used here in case there is any bladder inflammation present.
Incontinence is a difficult condition to treat. This formula may help to reduce the distressing condition but is unlikely to completely cure it. Unfortunately this age related condition is on going and degenerative.
Dose:
Add to food or water.
Dogs: 2 drops pr kg of bodyweight 2-4 times daily.
Cats: 1 drop per kg of bodyweight twice a day.
